Don’t chuck it out, give it a new home!

Recycling and limiting wastage are a key part of today’s business world. When we moved from Wolseley’s old HQ in Leamington Spa, we had a load of office furniture we couldn’t take with us. Rather than sell it or throw it all away, we donated it to the nearby Briar Hill Infant and St Margaret’s C of E Junior Schools.

Recycling makes sense in lots of ways, but it does give a great feeling to know that other people are benefiting instead of just adding more rubbish to the landfill sites. Budgets are extremely tight in education right now, so it was rewarding to see our old desks replacing ones that had been at the schools for over 50 years.

It wasn’t just the teachers who benefited – the kids are now enjoying having some nice comfy chairs to sit on as well. Definitely not like back in our old school days!
